I am an experienced and accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist having worked in both organisations and private practice. I completed my psychotherapy training at WPF Therapy, also working for them, one of the leading psychotherapy and counselling training organisations in the UK with a reputation for clinical and academic excellence, gaining a postgraduate diploma (Masters) in psychodynamic psychotherapy with merit.
Prior to that, I completed the foundation certificate in counselling skills also at WPF Therapy and I trained in bereavement support with Cruse Bereavement Care.
I have experience of working with adults across all age groups, from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.
Although your individual circumstances will be unique to you, I work with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, loss and bereavement, loneliness, relationship and family matters, sexuality, identity and esteem issues, self-harm, trauma and difficulties encountered at each stage of life: leaving home, relationships, parenting, birth, family matters, midlife crisis, retiring, old age, death.
I am a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) professional bodies. I work to their professional Codes of Ethics and best practice guidelines. I am committed to continual professional development and regularly attend conferences and workshops to support and enhance what I can offer you.
